Hotel Friends Home is a top-ranking mid-range deluxe hotel in Kathmandu (based on TripAdvisor ratings), located in the eastern part of Thamel, called Jyatha, in a neighborhood locally known as Chhusya Bahal. We are situated just behind the Election Commission on the western side of Kantipath.

We are fully insulated from the noise and bustle of the busy road, yet within short distance from local attractions like the Garden of Dreams, the Narayanhiti Palace Museum and everything that interests you in Thamel, the tourist hub of Kathmandu. Just stay with us and experience the difference firsthand.

For locals, the easiest access to Hotel Friends Home would be by entering Jyatha from Kantipath, turning right at Byayam Mandir (a well known gymnasium), then taking a narrow stone-paved street called Chhusya Galli. We are situated just at the end of this street.

However, we would recommend first-timers to enter Thamel from the Keshar Mahal junction and to enter Jyatha by turning left at the first junction (Thamel - Jyatha intersection). After walking about 285 meters in the south direction along this road (Jyatha Marg), turn left (about 25m before reaching Jyatha Chowk) and enter Chhusya Bahal. You will find us just at the right end of this street.

To save you from hassles of all sorts while getting to Hotel Firends Home, we offer you private pickup service from Kathmandu Airport (Tribhuvan International Airport). Just make sure you provide your complete arrival details as early as possible (at least a day before your check-in date). This service costs USD 8 per car during normal hours (from 6am till 6pm) and USD 10 during off hours (from 6pm till 6am next day).
